This year, at the 79th International Geneva Motor Show, Nissan will be unveiling the extraordinary. The world debut of QAZANA, the incredible beach buggy/quad bike compact crossover, the multi-dimensional NV200 and the first European showing of the new 370Z, CUBE and GT-R SpecV.
Nissan at the GMS. There’s nowhere like it on earth.
Be there to witness the world debut of QAZANA. Part dune buggy, part quad bike, this small concept crossover breathes new life into the market. It looks like nothing else, because there really has been nothing else like it. Mixing coupé and SUV styling in an all-terrain, sporty package, the QAZANA features cleverly opening side doors, venturi-style skid plate at the rear, extended ground clearance and an interior that’s as functional as it is stylish. Trial builds of the production car will begin in early 2010.
The NV200 is an innovative, stylish vehicle and will be available in three different versions: a standard van and two seven seat variants – a functional Combi version for loads and passengers, and a passenger version (which will be displayed in Geneva). At nearly 4.4m long the NV200 has more than 2m of load carrying space, and with a floor at just 520mm from ground level, it is the lowest loader in its class. This ingenious and useful design also helps to boost the cargo volume to 4.1 cubic meters.
The van has a maximum payload is 771kg, fully independent strut type front suspension mounted on a separate subframe, and will be available in 1.6L 16 valve engine petrol or 1.5L diesel versions.
Due to be launched in autumn this year.
The latest evolution of the legendary Z series – but now it’s sharper, harder, and faster, with braking and handling tuned and re-tuned at the Nurburgring. Improved low-end power and high-end torque. Electronic stability system. Six-speed manual or 7-speed paddleshift auto. If you can’t catch a glimpse of it at Geneva check it out by clicking here.
Already a massive hit in Japan, this third generation of Cube has become part of a different movement altogether. Visit the Nissan stand at Geneva and you’ll experience more than a close-up look at its uniquely warm design and innovative features. You’ll discover how this city car has embraced the idea of finding more by rushing less. By seeing more, and enjoying more. So if you’re looking for a little quiet calm in the middle of all the rush, you know where to come...
After months of shaky spy footage and miles of curious blogging, the ultimate GT-R is here – the SpecV. The Bilstein dampers with carbon ceramic brakes boost maximum braking g-force from 1.4 to 2. To save weight, the rear seats have been removed, the front two Recaros are now carbon fibre (as is the rear spoiler, grille and brake ducts) and the exhaust system is now titanium. The twin turbo’d 3.8-litre the new gear boost control device provides an additional 15lb ft of torque under heavy acceleration. Come and see it. But you’ll have to be quick.
In a world where going green is more of a fashion statement than a manifesto for change, here at Nissan we are taking a different approach. Nissan is going Blue. Blue Citizenship represents a new way for us to look at our business and how we impact all our stakeholders. Whether it is through our products, our investments in communities or giving something back to society, Blue Citizenship represents our efforts to ensure Nissan is playing a positive role in the sustainability of our earth and its resources. Because when you shift your thinking to Blue, you don’t just make a better car, you make a better world.
Come and visit Nissan at the 79th International Geneva Motor Show and witness stunning world debuts from the QAZANA - the crossover of tomorrow - to the first European outing of the new NV200, 370Z, CUBE and the incredible GT-R SpecV. We look forward to seeing you there.
